The holidays have come and gone, but our love for all things peppermint hasn’t faded just yet. The combination of rich dark chocolate combined with a subtle hint of peppermint (thanks to a touch of extract) is the perfect way to beat the cold. We made ours with whipped cream and crushed peppermint for a touch of sweetness, but feel free to add your own garnishes.
What you need:
¾ cup milk
¼ cup half & half
¼ tsp peppermint extract (or to taste)
How you make it:
Bring milk and half and half to a gentle boil in a medium pan. Turn heat to low, whisk in the sipping chocolate and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat and add peppermint extract.
Pour mixture into your favorite mug and garnish with whipped cream and crushed peppermint. Sip slowly in front of the fireplace.
