Dads really are the glue that holds the family together. He’s been there for just about everything:

He cried walking you down the aisle. Crossed his arms as he sat by the door, waiting for you to ‘sneak in’ after curfew. Propped you up on his shoulders to give you a better view of the world.

“Go ask your mother,” he would say, when you thought you could get away with asking him instead. He fixed things (sometimes by making them worse) and was always good for a round of catch in the backyard. He was the designated Sunday morning pancake maker and always there to catch you when you bravely jumped into the swimming pool.

This year, show him you learned by example and say thank you with chocolate. Hasn’t he suffered through enough macaroni art projects and bad ties?
